The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) is offering small businesses forgivable loans for up to 8 weeks of payroll through its Paycheck Protection Program (PPP).

Local Programs
Preserve the Fort
Phase II of Preserve the Fort is now open!
- Grant
- Eligibility: businesses in the City of Fort Worth with less than 500 employees, certain non-profits, and bars/music venues closed due to COVID-19
- Max Amount: Up to $150,000 per business
Business Resiliency Microloan Program
Loan for local Fort Worth small businesses negatively impacted by COVID-19
- Loan with 7 – 15% interest (discount to women and veterans)
- Eligibility: Any business with at least a 600 credit score rating and 3 months of bank statements
- Max Amount: Up to $25,000 for FlashFunds specific loan
Alliance Lending Corporation Loans
Fixed-rate loaning program for for-profit, owner-occupied businesses (specialized in commercial real estate)
- Loan
- Amount: $250K – $5.5M
People Fund Small Business Loans
Small business loans designed for individuals with otherwise limited access to such resources
- Max Amount: Up to $350K with additional benefits for veterans
North Texas Cares Fund
Grant aimed at non profits who are providing COVID-19 related services in North Texas
- Grant
- Eligibility: Any business that is 501c3 registered and provides services in North Texas
- Amount: Varies by funder
Southside CARES
Grants for businesses, creatives, gig and service workers experiencing hardship in Near Southside
- Grant
- Eligibility: Facing financial hardship and works in the Culinary, Art, Retail, Entertainment, or Service industries
- Amount: $250
The New Normal
Local artists that are experiencing financial difficulty submit a work representing life during COVID-19 to apply for a grant
- Grant Competition
- Eligibility: Open to all artists working and residing in Fort Worth
- Deadline: June 20
- Amount: $2K or $5K
Fort Worth Food & Wine Foundation Restaurant Employee Relief Fund
Relief fund to provide emergency assistance to employees of restaurants impacted by recent public health issues
- Grant
- Eligibility: Employee of a locally owned and operated restaurant. Restaurant owners and GMs can also apply on behalf of employees.
- Amount: $500 per employee
National Programs

- Max Amount: Up to $10MM determined by 8 weeks of prior average payroll plus an additional 25% of that amount
SBA Disaster Loan
Loan for small business owners who need working capital to help overcome temporary loss of revenue
- Loan with 3.75% interest
- Eligibility: Any business with <500 employees
- Max Amount: Up to $2MM
LIFT Fund Disaster Relief
Loan to help weather COVID-19 related impact on revenue, with deferred payment options
- Loan with 120-Day payment deferment
- Eligibility: Any business with 9 months operating, 15% COVID related loss in revenue and good standing credit
- Max Amount: Up to $50,000

Hello Alice COVID-19 Emergency Grant Contest
Contest for businesses impacted by COVID-19 who show strong need and strategic plan for use of funds
- Grant Contest
- Eligibility: Any business incorporated in the US. Must demonstrate need and proposed use of funds.
- Max Amount: $10,000
- Deadline: July 16
FedEx Grant Program
FedEx Grant program to support small businesses in need
- Grant
- Eligibility: For-profit small business with <50 employees, <$5M in annual sales revenue in 2019, and have shipped or plan to ship as part of business
- Amount: $5000 grant + $500 FedEx Credit
The Actors Fund
Assistance to cover living expenses for performing artists and entertainment industry workers
- Grant
- Eligibility: Income requirements depending on job within the entertainment industry
- Amount: 2 months of living expenses
Professional Beauty Association Relief Fund
Grant to support beauty professionals who are unable to work due to COVID-19
- Grant
- Eligibility: Licensed beauty professional who has been unable to work due to COVID-19, has not participated in other fundraisers
- Amount: $500
Lowe's Minority-Owned Business Fund
Grant aimed at ensuring minority and women owned businesses receive sufficient COVID-19 support
- $25M in grants
- Eligibility: Any minority-and-women-owned small businesses
- Application period currently closed, but check back for more information on future rounds.
Spanx Red Backpack Fund
Grants for female entrepreneurs in the US
- Grant
- Eligibility: Majority women-owned 2-50 employees <$5MM in revenue in each of past 3 years
- Deadline: Next round open from July 6-13
- Max Amount: $5,000 grants
